Since December 2020 the Radio France application allows you to access to tens of thousands of programs from RFI, ARTE, France Télévisions and the National Audiovisual Institute and since January 2022 the podcasts of RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse).
September 2022, Radio France and Radio-Canada join forces to strengthen their podcast offerings in order to offer you even more content and promote the French-speaking world. This collaboration also enabled the co-production of a brand new podcast : Mesrine, pride and blood produced by Stéphane Berthomet and directed by Cedric Chabuel. The result of the joint work of the France Culture and Radio-Canada OHdio teams, this podcast is available on the Radio France and Radio-Canada OHdio platforms.
November 2022: launches its public service algorithm
The Radio France platform innovates with a new method of recommending its content, emphasizing discovery as much as performance! A new algorithm* whose particularity is based on hybrid recommendation: a fair balance betweenalgorithmic efficiency and the fineness of the editorial team’s choices.
With public service values, Radio France sets 4 main principles for personalization and content recommendation:
- Human editorial choice;
- Transparency ;
- The diversity ;
- The control given to the user.
* The operation of this algorithm is transparent for users who have previously accepted personalization and who can, at any time, modify their choice. None of the data collected in order to carry out personalization or recommendation is shared with parties external to Radio France.
September 2023, signing of a agreement between Radio France and the Collège de France to expand the free availability via the Radio France digital platform (site and application) of the Collège de France’s teachings in order to strengthen accessibility and the transmission of knowledge and to cultivate the pleasure of knowledge.
