Big announcement season is getting closer. To make sure you don’t miss anything, here is a schedule of Summer Game Fest 2024 conferences with their dates, times and games confirmed as well as those expected.

E3 is dead, long live Summer Game Fest. Historically, the American living room was the scene of announcements, each more grandiose than the last. Events continue for several days, just like sleepless nights for us Europeans. With COVID-19 and the democratization of digital conferences, he ultimately failed to adapt and officially threw in the towel. Enter its big replacement: Summer Game Fest 2024, the new unmissable event this summer. Big conferences from major players in the industry, highly anticipated announcements, surprises, the return of games that have disappeared from the radar… this year is likely to be particularly busy, even if there are fewer conferences on the program. Here is the complete schedule for Summer Game Fest 2024, with all events announced to date.

When is Summer Game Fest 2024?

Geoff Keighley and his Summer Game Fest will take over again this year. THE new summer meeting will return to action this year with an edition which promises to be similar to its predecessors. Conferences from big publishers, new games, others whose existence we had almost forgotten after all these years without news, world premieres galore, gameplay and of course surprises of all kinds. The promises are still great this year, even if the complete program has obviously not yet been fully revealed.

Everyone is waiting to know if Sony will open the ball again this year with its PlayStation Showcase or not. Whatever happens, the publisher should be present for this summer’s unmissable conference, the one which will officially begin hostilities. The launch party of Summer Game Fest 2024 is scheduled for June 7 at 11 p.m., French time, with a show which should still have its share of important and surprising announcements. The festivities will then continue for a whole week with several conferences, presentations and other showcases. The good news is that this year there will be no need to pull a lot of sleepless nights to follow the most important events.

Conferences not to be missed and what to expect?

From the looks of it, there will be even fewer conferences this year. The major players in the industry who will not hold their own event will therefore take advantage of the Summer Game Fest to highlight their biggest upcoming cartridges. Some will undoubtedly go to the Xbox Games Showcase or during the famous PlayStation and Nintendo directs, the announcements of which are still awaited. For those who only wish to watch the essential meetings, here is our selection, which is obviously only based on what was made official at the time these lines were written.

Summer Game Fest 2024 – June 7 at 11 p.m.

This is obviously THE event not to be missed this summer. The Summer Game Fest 2024 conference will really get the ball rolling and with great fanfare. More than 50 publishers and studios will be present this year, with all-out world premieres, games that have disappeared from the radar and undoubtedly a hell of a lot of new announcements and surprises. Only two games have really been confirmed to date. RPG lovers will be able to learn more about Metaphor ReFantazio, the new license from some of the minds who brought Persona 5 and its predecessors to life. Warner Bros. will try to restore its image after the failure of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League with Batman Arkham Shadow. A VR game which will therefore take place in the Arkham-verse, but which will be exclusive to Meta Quest 3.

Dragon Age 4 (Dreadwolf) must, according to the latest news, officially be presented this summer. Unless EA decides to create its own event, BioWare’s next game should be in the mix. For its part, 2K has confirmed that one of its favorite licenses will return this summer. Borderlands 4 or Mafia 4? Rumor has it that it’s the second option. Bandai will also be there, no doubt to finally reveal the release date of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and why not give us news about Little Nightmares 3.

Devolver Direct – June 8 at 2am

If you’re the night owl type, then we advise you to stay up after SGF 2024 to watch the Devolver Digital Showcase. Otherwise, the next day in replay, it works too. Every year, the independent game publisher delights us with its completely crazy presentation, always the craziest of the lot. We imagine that Devolver has turned all the knobs to the maximum to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary as it should. The publisher promises “thunderous new announcements, carefully considered release dates and surprises capable of revolutionizing (once again) the small world of gaming.” The very promising The Plucky Squire should finally have a release date set, when we should learn more about The Crush House, the crazy reality TV game. We can already see you dreaming of Hotline Miami 3 to mark the occasion. Maybe this year will be the right one?

Wholesome Direct – June 8 at 6 p.m.

In the midst of all this violence, a little gentleness. The Wholesom Direct is a bit of a well-deserved relaxing break, which presents indie games, full of good vibes, cute and chill as hell. Few details are available at this time, as the event only recently closed registration for its conference. But who knows? Maybe your next crush will be there?

Future Games Show – June 8 at 9 p.m.

For those who don’t just have their eyes on the next blockbusters, the GamesRadar+ site will once again offer its conference this year giving a voice to lesser-known developers. AA productions and independent games will once again be in the spotlight. Previous editions had had some prestigious guests, so it is possible that a few surprises will be added to the festivities, but there will never be anything as grandiose as during the Summer Game Fest evening. For this Future Games Show Summer 2024, Roger Clark (Arthur from Red Dead Redemption 2) and Britt Baron (Tifa, FF7 Rebirth) will be at the presentation.

Xbox Showcase + Call of Duty Black Ops 6 – June 9 at 7 p.m.

This is one of the unmissable highlights of this Summer Game Fest 2024. The Xbox Games Showcase returns this summer and for its first edition since the historic acquisition of Activision-Blizzard Microsoft wants to hit hard. The Redmond firm will present the next games developed by its studios, with likely release dates for Indiana Jones and the Elder Circle and Avowed. We can also expect news from already announced titles like Contreband, South of Midnight, Fable 4, State of Decay 3 or Perfect Dark, as well as a return of Doom if we trust the rumors. Xbox Game Pass should once again benefit from great promotion this year thanks to a handful of third-party publishers who should make an appearance. The only certainty for now is that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will benefit from a nice spotlight with a dedicated showcase just after the conference.

PC Gaming Show – June 9 at 10 p.m.

It has become an annual meeting for the bravest PC gamers. Those who can handle more than an hour of “cringiness” and lame jokes will no doubt sit back and watch the PC Gaming Show. This 2024 edition will be a little special, since the event will celebrate its tenth anniversary. The conference should also reserve its small share of surprises. Again, details are scant at the time of writing, but a few headliners should be revealed as the conference approaches.

Ubisoft Forward – June 10 (time not announced)

This will be the last big conference of this Summer Game Fest before Gamescom 2024. Ubisoft will highlight its upcoming productions, while presenting new updates on these games already released. XDefiant, Rainbow Six and The Crew Motorsport should reveal their future content. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be one of the stars of the evening, and we can easily imagine that Star Wars Outlaws, expected on August 30, will keep it company. The conference could, however, hold its share of surprises. Well, we’re going to stop hurting ourselves and we’re not going to mention the Arlesian Beyond Good & Evil 2 anymore. Maybe Splinter Cell Remake will make a brief appearance, just like Prince of Persia Remake, which would have progressed well internally. . See you on June 10 to find out for sure.
