A violent neofascist worked for the Olympics and the French Football Federation

Behind his phone, Kléber Vidal is satisfied. The rope access technician, specialist in work at height, films the Stade de France this June 13 and publishes the video on his social networks. He has been working for several months as part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP) on the installation of flags in the enclosure. In May, the man even worked for the French Football Federation (FFF), on the facade of the Blues headquarters. Except that Kléber Vidal is a far-right activist and member of Gud, a neofascist student organization adept at punching. He is linked to the worst French neo-Nazis – such as Loïk Le Priol and Romain Bouvier, the alleged assassins of rugby player Federico Aramburu – and has already been convicted several times by the courts. In 2022, for example, he was sentenced to three years in prison, as part of a story of torture of a former Gud leader a few years ago.

Contacted, the FFF and the JOP are, to say the least, bothered by StreetPress’ findings. The pattern was the same for both institutions: they called on a specialized service company, which then subcontracted to Kléber Vidal and his business without them knowing it. There FFF responded that an “event visual design” was indeed carried out but assured: “The FFF doesn’t know the person you mention. Any service company recruited by the FFF is the subject of a market study. All contracts established by the FFF in compliance with the law include a compliance clause. » The association also recalled its values contained in article 1 of its statutes. THE JOPthey indicated that they worked with “more than 2,500 service provider companies” (which themselves use subcontractors like Vidal) via public contracts and that they, like the service providers, have “neither the power to investigation, nor that of requesting extracts from criminal records”.

Proud of his work, Kléber Vidal communicated his activity for the JOP 2024. The service providers and subcontractors of the event are bound by a certain number of rules and Vidal should also “not have associated Paris 2024” with his post, a connoisseur tells us. / Credits: Linkedin

Gud and the worst neo-Nazis

As for Kléber Vidal, the neofascist activist did not respond to requests from StreetPress and referred him to his lawyer, who did not respond to our questions. The 27-year-old man with a full beard has already been around a lot in the world of the very radical far right. He joined Gud at the age of 15 in 2012 and has been involved in quite a few radical groups with his brother Hugo, such as the French Renewal. Their father, Marc Vidal, who died in 2020, worked for Grece, the main organ of the New Right, and ran a bookstore in Pontault-Combault (77) where we found the cream of anti-Semitic authors : the collaborationist Henry Coston, the Nazi dignitary Hermann Goering…

Even today, the two men are immersed in the industry and are considered veterans. Kléber and his brother, along with other guards, supervised the young neo-Nazis of the Martel division and gave them advice in a joint chat group on Telegram. The two bodybuilders appeared with Gud’s inner circle during the neofascist demonstration of the May 9 Committee in 2023, which caused media and political outrage. A few weeks earlier, Kléber also went to Saint-Brévin (44), during the gathering of a hundred neofascists came to protest against the installation of a reception center for asylum seekers.

Having worked through numerous odd jobs, Kléber Vidal started working as a rope access technician in 2020 with his company Vid’Alpi, which boasts of being “specialized in difficult access work” and the construction of treetop adventure parks. – he even helped build a Parisian escape game. On the professional network LinkedIn, he benefited from a “repost” from Gabriel Loustau, one of the current leaders of Gud convicted in June 2024 in the context of a homophobic attack. On Instagram, his publication of his work for the FFF is “liked” by César Aujard, a French neo-Nazi fighter in Ukraine.

Sentenced for beating his former boss at Gud

June 1, 2022. Kléber Vidal appears before the Paris judicial court for a case almost seven years old. With former gudards Logan Djian, Loïk Le Priol and Romain Bouvier – the latter two are in detention awaiting trial for the murder of rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu (1) – he is on trial for the beating of their former boss, who was fired to torture for 20 minutes. A story told at the time by StreetPress. The speech of the twenty-year-old with slicked back hair is slow, he thinks a lot about his sentences to justify the two punches in the face that he gave the victim. Before the judges, he presents himself as someone who is non-violent, even if he admits to doing “boxing in public gardens, like everyone else”. And he assures that he is no longer part of the Gud: a lie. After the hearing, he only responded to journalists’ questions with this sentence:

“How much do you pay?” »

At the time, he was sentenced to three years in prison for aggravated voluntary violence in a meeting, with premeditation and at gunpoint, including one year suspended. For two years he served his sentence with an electronic bracelet.

In the mid-2010s, on Facebook and Instagram, Kleber Vidal played the sandwich man for the clothing brand of Loik Le Priol, one of his friends. Together, they beat up the former head of Gud Edouard Klein in October 2015. / Credits: DR

The bearded neofascist, who even served as a sandwich man for Loïk Le Priol’s clothing brand, was also convicted of carrying a weapon in December 2018. On his CV which he posted online, he confided having was for a time recruited by the army and assigned to the 8th Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment. But following a “defect in the construction of the file”, his place would have been “given to someone else”. Perhaps the army then inquired about his pedigree?

(1) Awaiting their trial, the two men are presumed innocent.
