This weekend, Microsoft pulled out all the stops during its Xbox Games Showcase conference. An opportunity for the Redmond firm to show that it has nothing to be ashamed of in the face of its rival Sony, and to show off the future bangers to come on PC and Xbox. We were there, and here is our selection.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, lots of images

Announced a few days ago, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 showed itself in all its glory during the long evening offered by Microsoft Xbox.

If the game showed images of its solo in the first part, for the rest of the festivities, we were even treated to a dedicated broadcast on the multiplayer of this future opus.

Before we dive into the details, here are the first images of the campaign which takes us as expected to the 90s.

According to the developers, the story here will be very complete and will offer you to make several choices with perhaps even several possible endings.

After years of work, here is what is certainly the most anticipated Call of Duty in recent years.

“Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is an action spy game set in the early 1990s, a period of transition and upheaval in the global political scene, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the emergence of the United States as a superpower. With its captivating plot and freedom of action, this is a Black Ops worthy of the name.

As for multiplayer, the latter promises to be just as crisp. We’re talking about 16 new cards and a whole new movement system.

The latter gives you the ability to dive in any direction, sprint in front/behind/left/right and best of all, it will be possible to lie down.

That’s not all, a mechanism to automatically lean over is also included. If you are interested in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer and its secrets, head to the video below.

Gears of War: E-Day, the license is back!

At the start of the conference, we were treated to the impressive DOOM: The Dark Ages, and at the end of the show, another equally brutal game. As you have seen, it is the GoW saga which returns to us with a title called Gears of War: E-Day.

Here we’ll go back to the very beginning of the alien invasion and experience it through the eyes of Marcus Fenix. It is therefore difficult to say if it is strictly speaking a sixth opus. Anyway, here is the delicious trailer to enjoy.

Kate Rayner, studio technical director at The Coalition, said the game would deliver an unparalleled visual experience.

“We’re revisiting the tone and feel of what makes Gears great, but we’re leveraging new techniques, new processes, and new technologies that will make gameplay better. It’s going to be awesome, a game that feels both truly new and authentically Gears. »

Kate Rayner

Gears of War: E-Day is coming at a completely unknown date to Xbox Series consoles, as well as PC. At least for the moment. We can already say that this project of colossal scale wishes to honor the license.

In any case, the artistic direction seems to hold up. It’s dark and violentwe are indeed in a GoW.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is coming in 2025

Yes! The rumor was true, the return of DOOM: The Dark Ages is now official. It was he who propelled the Xbox Games Showcase from the first seconds.

The famous FPS is indeed back and it is not here to string pearls as you will be able to see. Here, we are especially treated to gameplay, something to really get our teeth into. Note that the latter is a prequel to the game released in 2016.

In the greatest classicism of DOOM, we are here faced with a brutal, violent, ultra-dynamic shooter in which an unexpected shield gives a particular meaning to the gameplay.

That’s not all, our beloved Slayer will be accompanied by a colossal robot named Atlan in which he can ride to brutalize even more the hordes of enemies.

“In addition to his superhuman skills and his extraordinary arsenal, the Slayer will also call on his colossal robot Atlan to fight with titanic beasts and take back the skies aboard his ferocious steed: a cybernetic war dragon powered by a jet plane.”

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater reveals its storyline

Announced for several months now, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater took advantage of the Xbox Games Showcase to tell us about its plot. We had the chance to discover the title with some gameplay sequences.

A Remake that is truly fabulous and which honors the basic work with the mission of pleasing nostalgic fans and new players alike.

“MGS: Snake Eater creates a deeply immersive world with enhanced visuals and sounds, utilizing the full potential of Unreal Engine 5, while keeping the controls and voice lines inherited from the original title intact.”

Xbox’s description of the game

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater is coming later this year. Maybe we’ll have the chance to taste it this summer at Gamescom.

>> As a reminder, MGS: Snake Eater is coming to Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Valorant is coming to Playstation 5 and Xbox

No, it’s not April 1st. On the occasion of Summer Game Fest, the giant Riot announces the arrival of Valorant on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The FPS shooter intended for the competitive scene that rules the PC world is now arriving on the console market.

The goal is of course to reach as many new people as possible. Before being definitively launched later in the year, a “limited” beta will be implemented from June 14.

The Series

The idea is therefore to keep this competitive aspect at the heart of the experience. And this, regardless of the support on which you are going to play.

Good news, in order to maintain the excellent competitive integrity that has made VALORANT’s reputation, PC players will not be able to meet the console audience.

However, as your collection and progress are linked to your VALORANT account, they will be preserved cross-platform between PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

The icing on the cake is that PC and console players will benefit at the same time from all the new patches such as balancing, new agents, new maps, premium content and tools added to the game.

Phantom Blade Zero never disappoints

To properly close the Summer Game Fest event, a certain Phantom Blade Zero has decided to reveal himself once again.

An impressive RPG that highlights dynamic combat in landscapes that catapult us directly to China. It’s beautiful, fast, technical, and everything you’re going to see is pure gameplay.

A great technical feat that I personally can’t wait to get to grips with. Unfortunately, there is still no release date. Note again that this future experience is planned for Playstation 5 and PC.

In Phantom Blade Zero, players embody Soul, an elite assassin serving an elusive but powerful organization.

The latter is known simply as the Order. Our hero has been accused of the murder of the patriarch of the Order. He was later seriously injured during the manhunt he underwent.

Soul did not sink into death because in his misfortune, he came across a healer. Unfortunately, this makeshift “healing” only lasts 66 days. Our character must therefore discover the mastermind behind this entire organization before the end of his time.

Phantom Blade Zero takes place in a semi-open world. The latter is inspired by the Wuxia stories of Louis Cha to the films of Bruce Lee, including Michelle Yeoh in Everything Everywhere All at Once and Donnie Yen in John Wick: Chapter 4.

Kungfu in pop culture is constantly evolving and the developers of Phantom Blade Zero want to take inspiration from it.

We are here facing a very big future video game hit.
