Gears of War: E-Day is official with new Xbox

As a final surprise, Xbox unveiled with great fanfare a new episode of Gears of War, its popular action game saga. This time, we will head to London.

Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War: E-Day will be released in 2025 on PC and Xbox, and upon launch in Game Pass.

STALKER 2 confirms its release for the start of the school year

The result of complicated development against the backdrop of the Russian invasion by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, STALKER 2 has also returned with a gameplay video which confirms a release for September 5, 2024.

The game impresses visually and will be one of Xbox’s big cartridges for the 2024 school year. It will be available on Game Pass from its launch.

Assassins Creed Shadows present at Xbox

We weren’t expecting it before Monday evening at Ubisoft – which is holding a conference from 9 p.m. – but the French publisher did not fail to be present during the Xbox Showcase with Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

A first gameplay video revealing the features of its two heroes – a man and a woman – in an Asian epic long awaited by fans. The game will be released on November 15 for Xbox, PC and Playstation 5.

Long gameplay video for Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle

A few months after its officialization, the video game Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle makes its return with a big gameplay video.

Developed by the studio behind the latest Wolfenstein, it will feature the most famous adventurer in a fantastical epic reminiscent of Steven Spielberg’s films. Released by the end of the year on Xbox and PC, and from day one in Game Pass.

Square Enix presents Life is Strange: Double Exposure

The saga Life is Strange is back in a new episode, Double Exposure, with the big return of Max, heroine of the first opus. This time, one of his friends is dead, and we will have to solve her murder while trying to bring her back.

Released October 29, 2024 on Xbox, Playstation and PC. If pre-ordered, the first two episodes will be playable two weeks in advance.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19

Microsoft Flight Simulator is Microsoft’s graphic standard-bearer, it is therefore logically present at the Xbox Showcase with video of the future additions to come in this flight simulation.

For example, we can take photos of the fauna and flora once on the ground, or even discover new places completely renovated by hand. Hot air balloons are there, as are the Northern Lights.

The 2024 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on November 19 on Xbox and PC.

Fable is also present at Xbox

After a heavy silence, Fable is also making a return during this Xbox Showcase. Direction Albion in a complete reinvention of the franchise, this time in the hands of Playground Games (Forza Horizon).

With a more humorous tone and the Unreal Engine 5, Xbox hopes that fans will be there for this new medieval and magical adventure, which will be released on Xbox and PC in 2025.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will be released on October 8

Announced at the previous Blizzcon, the first expansion of Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatredwas shown through an introductory cutscene which is obviously impressive.

It will be released on October 8, 2024 on Xbox, PC and Playstation 5.

Perfect Dark is back at Xbox

Announced with great fanfare in 2018, Perfect Dark has since suffered numerous development problems. Now developed by The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics studios, the first-person spy and infiltration game makes its comeback in a long gameplay video.

No release date, but Joanna Dark is definitely back. “I am very proud of our games and our teams,” said Matt Booty, who came to conclude this long-awaited presentation.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is scheduled for 2025

During the Xbox showcase, we also saw Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, first game from the young studio Sandfall Interactive, which is already planning a release for 2025.

In this supercharged role-playing game, you will have to manage several characters at once in semi-turn-based combat. It will be in Game Pass upon launch.

World of Warcraft: The War Within releases August 26

The next major expansion, first chapter of a new large-scale MMORPG trilogy World of Warcraft will be released on August 26, 2024. A date which is not a surprise, Blizzard having become accustomed to releasing its expansions during the summer period.

However, the title remains – at this stage – a PC exclusive.

South of Midnight shows its gameplay

Head to the swamps to South of Midnight. The new game from Compulsion Games studio is revealed a year after its announcement with a gameplay video which shows that the visual universe, partly in stop motion, that we saw in the 2023 cinematic is still present.

The heroine will help herself from her swamp friends in an open world where she will move around partly thanks to a power allowing her to fly. Released in 2025 on Xbox and PC.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is revealed again

Absent from the radars for many months, Dragon Age: The Veilguard shows up as a dedicated conference is expected for June 11.

The game, developed by Bioware, is awaited by fans and must continue the story of Dragon Age Inquisition. It will be released in fall 2024 on PC, Xbox and Playstation 5.

Starfield unveils its first expansion

Starfield is also from the Xbox Showcase as the fall release of its first expansion approaches. Called “Shattered Space”, it will feature players in the grip of a mysterious power that could well become a threat to the universe.

State of Decay 3 marks its return

Announced in 2020, has been the subject of relative silence since, State of Decay 3 makes its big return during the Xbox Showcase.

Doom Medieval announced for Xbox, PS5 and PC

Having been the subject of rumors for several weeks, the next Doom, the “favorite game” of Phil Spencer who was responsible for its presentation, is official.

Baptized Doom: The Dark Ages, interweaves the known elements of the franchise with those of a medieval universe. It will be released in 2025. However, it will not be an Xbox and PC exclusive, but will also be released on Playstation 5. However, it will be found upon its launch on Game Pass.

Cal of Duty: Black Ops 6 makes its debut

The next installment in the first-person shooter saga, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6is the first game to hit the scene.

The title from Activision and studio Treyarch is one of the big pieces of the end of the year on Xbox, since the game will be available from its launch in Game Pass, Microsoft’s subscription service. It will take place during the Gulf War with a multiplayer and zombies mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will mainly be the subject of a dedicated segment, around 8:20 p.m., at the end of the Xbox Showcase.
