Nearly one in three adults are affected by pollen allergies in France, according to data from the Ministry of Health. On contact with the mucous membranes of affected people, pollen generates various undesirable effects: incessant sneezing, itching in the nose or eyes, tingling and watering of the eyes or coughing and/or wheezing.

Several pollens can cause allergies, including grasses, birch, cypress, alder and ragweed – knowing that not all pollen allergy sufferers have the same sensitivity to these different plant species.

Pollen+

In France, Pollen+ is a partner of the national aerobiological monitoring network (RNSA). But it also works abroad in Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Spain.

Beyond the available pollen forecasts, this application offers you a personalized forecast based on the data you have previously entered into your journal. Push notifications also allow you to receive live alerts of the most important flowering periods.

AirCare

Very comprehensive, AirCare provides you with information on pollen, air quality and UV rays. Concerning pollens, you monitor three types of pollen live (trees, grasses and weeds).

This application also allows you to be informed of different air pollutants (PM10, PM2.5, NO2, CO, SO2 and O3) and to receive notifications in the event of a change in level on the elements you track.

Pollen Alert

Fairly simple to use, the Pollen Alert application rates the risk on a scale of 1 to 10 for different types of pollen such as ash, oak, grasses, urticaceae or even olive trees.

To make your use easier, you can personalize the application interface by adding your favorite cities, you will also have access to the weather forecast for each destination. Here too, you can program and personalize your alerts, but also share information with your contacts… Which can be useful if you know other people who are also allergic!

Pollen Watch

Available on iOS, the Pollen Watch app can be used on iPhone, iPad and even with your Apple Watch. In addition to monitoring the pollen of different trees, it offers the possibility of recording your symptoms for better monitoring, and of managing the taking of your medications to avoid forgetting.

With your Apple Watch, all the features of the app are accessible and allow you, without taking the phone out of your pocket, to have access to the information you need. An interesting choice if you are more Apple than Android.
