Launched in September 2001 in Japan and in May 2002 in France, the GameCube marks Nintendo’s entry into the sixth generation of video game consoles. The GameCube: a popular console but which remains a failure

For many, this console is synonymous with lasting memories and memorable gaming moments. But the GameCube didn’t succeed in everything. First questionable choice: the Nintendo GameCube game disc (DOL-006). This is an 8cm Mini DVD which can hold 1.5GB of data. Usable on the GameCube and backwards compatible with the Wii, it is distinguished by its constant angular reading speed. But… due to its small size, some games like Resident Evil 4 And Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes required multiple disks.

Second failure: attempts to attract a mature audience with games like Eternal Darkness And Geist did not take. Finally, the PS2, with its DVD player and immense library, crushed the competition. Regardless, more than 20 years after its release, the GameCube retains cult status, and some of its games have become true treasures sought after by collectors. Here is a selection of 10 GameCube games that could earn you a small fortune today.
